Import Mailchimp audiences into Nitrosend

Connect Mailchimp to migrate your existing audiences and members into Nitrosend.

What syncs

The Mailchimp connector imports:

  • Audiences as Nitrosend contact lists
  • Audience members as contacts
  • Email address, first name, last name, and common merge fields
  • Audience membership
  • Mailchimp source metadata on the contact

Mailchimp campaign history, templates, and reports are not migrated.

Nitrosend preserves Mailchimp email consent conservatively:

  • Mailchimp members with subscribed status are imported as subscribed to email.
  • Members with unsubscribed, cleaned, pending, archived, or unknown status are imported without email opt-in.

This lets you keep the contact record and source data without accidentally widening your sendable audience.

Connect Mailchimp

  1. Go to Integrations in Nitrosend.
  2. Choose Mailchimp.
  3. Click Connect and complete the Mailchimp OAuth flow.
  4. Return to Nitrosend and watch the sync progress.

The sync runs in the background. You can leave the page while it imports contacts and return to the integration detail page to check progress.

After import

After the sync completes:

  • Review imported lists in Contacts > Lists.
  • Use segments to build dynamic audiences from Mailchimp lists, tags, merge fields, and engagement data.
  • Send only to contacts who are subscribed in Nitrosend.
Warning

Mailchimp sync is a contact and audience migration path. It does not automatically send campaigns or activate automations.
